BENEFITS
MOLECULAR BONDING
Wax products generally do not last more than a few months because they are petroleum-based, and simply lie on the surface. Our paint sealants use a non-petroleum, air-hardened resin that molecularly bonds to your finish. This protection lasts three to five times longer than wax. The following test on our resin system was done by Ford Motor Company:
We put “Super Gloss” in a machine which tests both durability and sheen and operates 24 hours a day in 12 minute cycles. (1) It is cooled to 5 degrees below zero; (2) sprayed with water, frozen; (3) then heated to 140 degrees; (4) Then it is sprayed with detergent; (5) It then goes into a wind tunnel with hot air to 120 degrees; (6) Then into cold air with a chill factor of 5 degrees below zero; (7) It is then brought back to normal temperature. “Super Gloss lasted 14 days without failing. The preceding test was done in order for Derek Steele International to secure a GSA number (GSA #GS-OOS-56213). This number means that a product has been approved for military use. Ford’s testing is equivalent to Super Gloss withstanding over 1600 car washes.
ULTRA-HARD RESIN
Our resin system is actually much harder than a clear coat. Because of this hardness, dirt, bugs, tar, etc. will not as readily stick to the surface. This means that a vehicle stays cleaner longer and is easier to keep clean. In regard to this point, please review the letter from Cessna aircraft Corporation under Testimonials.
NON-ABRASIVE
The abrasives in wax products create fine scratch marks which appear as swirl marks.Our products contain no abrasives to cause this problem. The relative inexpense of wax products is due to the high percentage of abrasives or cheap grit. If your vehicle is oxidized, you will be impressed with how faded, “dead paint” can be restored to a beautiful gloss in a safe manner, using a chemical process rather than harsh abrasives. Our paint sealants will hold a shine even on faded vehicles for up to two years.
EASE OF APPLICATION
When using our product, a small amount is applied to a soft polishing cloth such as terry cotton. You then apply to the vehicle and rub until shine appears; or you may rub until your cloth begins to drag slightly, or product starts to haze then turn your cloth and rub to a shine. There is no waiting with our sealants. This is in contrast to most products which require a drying-time before rubbing to a shine. If you do let our product dry, there is no problem removing it; it is simply unnecessary, and you will get a longer lasting shine by rubbing until the shine appears.
ULTRA-HIGH UV PROTECTION
Many waxes still do not contain UV protection. A high-quality UV block is an expense, but it is necessary to creating a long-lasting shine. It is the combination of molecular-bonding and a high UV ingredient that makes our product hold up so well. We use the same UV protection that is used in expensive paints.
RESTORES & PROTECTS GRAPHICS
The standard of the Graphics industry is stated very simply as, “Don’t apply wax over graphics.” Our paint sealants are graphics-safe. They will restore the beauty of faded graphics and protect graphics from fading.
SUPERIOR CHROME PROTECTION
It is a common complaint that chrome polishes don’t hold a shine very long. Our paint sealants will give chrome a hard, crystal-clear, protective coating that will far outlast chrome polishes. The resin in our products is in fact crystal-clear as opposed to the cloudiness of waxes, so that many customers rave about the use of our products on chrome.
REMOVES CLOUDINESS & LIGHT SCRATCHES FROM PLEXIGLASS
Our products are great for removing cloudiness and light scratches from bug shields, tail light lenses, and light bars. They are also excellent for dash panels and gauges. The same chemical process that safely and effectively removes oxidation from paint accomplishes this benefit. I have also had very good results on convertible plastic windows.
SHINES & PROTECTS ALUMINUM ENGINE COMPONENTS
Derek Steele paint sealants will withstand heat over 500 degrees. They can be used on brass radiators, as well as aluminum components. Using our sealants reduces the frequency of applications associated with engine components.
REMOVES BUGS, SAP, ETC.
During the summer bugs can be a real nuisance to car-cleanliness. Our sealants will remove bugs, and once applied, will make it easier to remove the bugs and keep a car looking its best.
